Around Asakusa -Day 2, Part 3

14th March 2012

Done with all the photo shooting on the Tokyo Skytree, we walked toward this area. We went further down the road to Tobu Sightseeing Service Center to get the purchase discount pass via internet changed into proper tickets for the Nikko trip tomorrow, (15th March 2012) by subway.
Total Sum of Reserved Pass cost 10,200 yen to see the World Heritage Shrines and Temples of Nikko.

Light turned green for pedestrian to cross over the road and we entered the world of souvenirs.
Nice to see, nice to eat but not cheap to buy.
Everything seems to be very costly.
This is Nakamise shopping street. The length of street is approximately 250 meters and contains around 89 shops.
One of the items sold in Nakamise are the Korean well known singers. PS seemed to be attached to the shop.
HB wanted this shot as the Tokyo Skytree could be seen.
So did PS
And me too.
The figurine used to attract customers to the restaurant.
Gosh, still looking onto her idols.
The oldest Sensoji Temple in Asakusa.
Orange tree found before the temple
Konnichiwa a.k.a hello.
It's 12:42hours now, Good Afternoon from the Tan family.
Main entrance of Sensoji Temple.
What are we waiting for? Let's explore.
The loving couple.
And their child.
Worshipers busy performing tasks.
And this was reported by PS of ABC network.
With nice clear sky.
Along with the whole family.
Another corner of the Temple, cherry blossom caught our attention.
Before we stepped out of the Sensoji Temple, caught sight of the huge slippers on the wall.
We had our share of purchase among with these tourists and later to find that it was Japan most famous pancakes.
The steamed bun sold in Japan.
The Kaminarimon Gate.
Rows of trishaw awaiting for the tourists for a ride.
We took this subway to our next destination in Akihabara
