Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner 2010

February 13th 2010

MIL decided to have steamboat as the family reunion dinner. Thus being a DIL, it automatically means all work and no play onto the helping of preparation for the dinner. As for the guys, what else rather than doing what they wished to do and just present themselves on the table when dinner are served.
One pot of chicken stock soup and the other pot was tomyam soup. Both were used for the steamboat.
I laid the induction cooker and slow cooker early rather than doing the last minute work
Approaching late evening, MIL and SIL had decided to put forth the food items for the reunion dinner.
All of the prepared and cut food were taken out from the fridge. The pot on the induction cooker was chicken soup while the other slow cooker was filled with tomyam soup.
Children sat on separate table, waiting impatiently for the reunion dinner to start.
PS being the eldest grandchild, the girl in white is SIL's daughter from Penang. Girl with the grinning face is my BIL's five years old daughter.
Making one last check by MIL before reunion dinner begins. Two guys behind are BIL.
HB and SIL putting various food items into the chicken and tomyam soup.FIL turned around to search for green vege.
Everyone looked busy getting the steamboat ready to be eaten.
HB with his way of preparing the soup.
Not done yet with the preparati0n of soup or need to add more ingredients?
At last the steamboat are ready to be served.
