Chinese New Year Eve 2010

February 13th 2010

Each families have their own kind of decorations and celebration for Chinese New Year. Some would go all out to celebrate the Chinese New Year with full decorations and eateries but some will treat as just another new year. Each year, HB, PS and I celebrated our Chinese New Year in MIL's house, Taman Peringgit Jaya, Melaka. MIL's house will always be decorated with lots of lanterns yearly.

HB parked the Civic inside the porch as there isn't any more parking space outside due to the canopies being fixed by neighbour.
It's also a double celebration when I learnt that the neighbour at MIL's house was having a kenduri kahwin ( wedding party). Their theme was purple in color.

Managed to get permission to enter the house to take shots of the hantaran( gifts from the bride to the bridegroom).A malay custom for wedding.
The bride and bridegroom in white having their lunch.
FIL been buying and stocking eateries such as chickens, prawns, fishes and more in the freezer. All the compartment are fully packed and utilized.
Besides the packed freezer, I've helped MIL to rearrange the whole fridge in order to store other items into it. The plastic boxes are nuggets, fish balls and other food which were for steamboat.
