22nd December 2011
AirAsia landed at Medan Polonia Airport at 0945hours.
Outside the airport. Walking further out to get a public transport as not so costly. This transport took us to the public bus depot heading for Berastagi, Indonesia.
Oh no! such a scene inside the bus and so crowded like sardin. Supposed to be an air cond bus but turned out that the passengers opened the side windows and soon it became an oven. First and last time be taking this kind of bus. After the long exhausted bus ride, we stopped along the main road to check into the hotel. The room was detached from the hotel building thus it took 5 minutes walk to reach or either take the buggy car if it's available.
Outside the hotel room.
View of the room.
The bathroom is spacious.
The church in Berastagi, situated opposites the hotel.
From the church to this town centre of Berastagi.
The small monument was also the round-about where the information centre could be seen.
Point of interest are shown here. HB hired a four wheel and a tour guide for the mountain trekking on 23rd December 2011.
Hired driver drove us to Bukit Gundaling.

And lastly from the Tan's family. A very warmth welcome.

Each of us rode the horse at RM8 for a round.
Persimmons are found in Berastagi market too. The different were, the vendor did not wash it clean as found in other country.
The market view of Berastagi town.
An old barber shop were found along the shoplot too.
Another market but this is indeed a wet one.
