Mid Valley Megamall & Mid Autumn Festival

Arrived at MidValley Megamall at 1530 hours on 3rd October 2009. Approaching the Centre Court, many colourful stores caught my eyes. It were fulled of decorative like live flowers. Various stores were found selling Indian specialities.Deepavali aka Festival of Lights for Indians are just around the corner. It is on 17th October.
Store selling Ipoh Kacang Putih. All kinds of beans are available in this store for sale.
Northern Malaysia calls it Pasembor and for Kuala Lumpur, the term is Rojak.
HB and PS turning their faces away from me when they noticed that I'm trying to take shots. Excuse them for it, both of them are camera shy, ha....ha....

Kolam (Tamil: கோலம் kõlaṁ) is a form of sandpainting that is drawn using rice powder by female members of the family in front of their home. It is widely practised by Hindus in South India. A Kolam is a sort of painted prayer — a line drawing composed of curved loops, drawn around a grid pattern of dots.

Besides the colourful Deepavali stores we saw in Mid Valley , there's an exhibition about Panasonic Power of Innovation in the top floor.More details could refer to the pix above.

This mascot is" Mottainai Grandma" but what is Mottainai? Mottainai is a Japanese word to describe " a sense of regret concerning waste when an object or resource is not properly utilized"
Mottainai also means "Do Not Waste". Literary creation from Japanese .
This corner is about "Spot The Difference Game". After the game, we are getting ready to get our photo taken. I'm snapping the pix while PS is typing her name on the screen.

The building was taken from Mid Valley Megamall link bridge to the Gardens.
Had 'Yong Tau Foo' as dinner in Bandar Puteri before we go home. The moment we reached, my second neighbour invited to join them for the Mid Autumn Celebration. A barbecue party. Lots of nice food too.

Mid Autumn Festival comes with mooncakes eatery and lanterns. Somehow these children are more keen in playing the lighted candles or should I say 'playing fire' than supposely to play lanterns.

Ikea to Curve

Not bad after all! We saw a row of Filipino singers singing while heading towards the Flea Market. Their singing were good so we decided to hold our horses and continue listening till the song ended.
So many variety of products can be found here. How I loved coming to the Flea Market. It's one of my favourite. Though I didn't purchase any item but window shop was satisfied too.HB will comment 'Ladies are ladies, shop till drop!.

PS needed a new blanket so we continued our next destination from the Otak- Otak Place in 1Utama to Ikea. With any purchase of RM10 and above, customers are entitled for free parking. That's an attractive way of getting customers over to shop in Ikea, isn't it? I wondered how many of us know that Ikea had implemented new ruling by charging 20 sen per plactic now.I've also learnt about this from last Saturday. That's the only way to stop using plastic bag, I guess.

From Ikea, we intended to go over to Curve and check out with their restaurants outlet. As we were too tired to go elsewhere for the pre birthday treat therefore Fish Manhattan would be an ideal place to celebrate.
